Come Back To WoW with a 10-day free trial

Posted by: WoWGrrl    in Adventures In Outland

[Updated September 2008]

The Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack is coming, and everything is ramping up for it:

A new patch is being downloaded but hasn’t been activated.

it’s got things in it that we thought were coming only with the expansion - including the new profession, Inscription, and many talent tree changes designed to support the next 10 levels.

And what about the Acheivements system?

Patch 2.4.3 made it so you can get your first mount at 30 instead of 40.

Brewfest has a great new Daily quest with excellent trinkets for all but the most elite of raiders and some neat rewards.

Hallow’s End event is soon to begin!

Did You Play World of Warcraft, But Cancel?

Do you want to play again, with no obligation beyond a 10 day free trial, while still using YOUR characters that you know so well?

No starting over.

No requirement to stay.

What do you have to lose?

This works for BRAND NEW World of Warcraft accounts too!

Leave me a note, and I’ll send you a Scroll of Resurrection which will give you that 10 day free trial. Only an active player can give you this scroll.

But only do this if you’re SERIOUS, because I only have 10 scrolls per month I can give out.

When you do come back, be sure to poke over to Zul’jin to leave me a message of hello, or send me a comment on Twitter like JP from Hong Kong did below:

Commentary from others I’ve helped…

"Thanks for the Scroll!"

Thank You WoWGrrl!

Hi WoW Grrl, thanks for the scroll of resurrect. Appreciated so much. I am just doing auction now. Take care and thanks again

Ogre Party in Blade’s Edge!

Posted by: WoWGrrl    in Adventures In Outland

When I hit level 68 or 69 or so, my guildmate with 5 level 70 characters took me on a little ride through Blade’s Edge Mountains from Thunderlord Stronghold where I already had a Flight Point, through to The Stormspire in Netherstorm, hitting a total of 4 flight points that I didn’t have, between Blade’s Edge and Netherstorm.

In the spirit of Paying It Forward (help, that is), I lead a couple of guildmates that were coming up behind me on the same path, taking them from Thunderlord Stronghold to The Stormspire in Netherstorm.

The first trip was uneventful - I lead a fellow hunter through the path and went on my way.

Bladespire Supplicant crowd in Blade’s Edge

The second trip had an unexpected Ogre party in the middle of it, and myself and my guildmate hung around with the Partying Ogres for a while (well, Bladespire Supplicants) as about 50 of them drank and cheered and had a jolly good time without worrying a bit about our presence.

Standing In The Middle of the Bladespire Supplicants

At first, I was going to try to go around them, but my guildmate noticed that she couldn’t target any of the Bladespire Supplicants, so I ran into the middle of them as an easy way to test (death is a mere minor inconvenience on this game) and found out that my guildmate was indeed correct and the Supplicants didn’t care about our presence at all.

While my guildmate and myself had no idea what we had just run into, I’ve since done some research and see that this crowd has something to do with a group of related level 70 quests: Grulloc Has Two Skulls, Maggoc’s Treasure Chest and Even Gronn Have Standards. We still have no idea whether it was us who despawned the guys or not - my guildmate found a keg that they were dancing around, and it had an actionable cog on it, but when she tried to get a drink from the keg, everyone disappeared.

We stood there for a bit, relaying our adventure to guildmates on Ventrilo with us, and then continued on our way!
