Netherwing Mines: Black Blood of Draenor
The Black Blood of Draenor are blob-like beasts that exist in the beginning sections of the Netherwing mine on Netherwing Ledge in southeastern Shadowmoon Valley, before the Nethermine Flayer and Nethermine Ravager sections begin. They are slow-moving and have a very small aggro range compared to other beasts of their level, so it's actually difficult to aggro them without running straight through them.
Their drops are generally not all that exciting, but they are a supply of [Netherwing Crystal] for the Netherwing Crystal daily quest. They also drop a [Sludge-covered Object] a high percentage of the time, and those can be opened up to see what's inside - sometimes [Netherdust Pollen], [Nethercite Ore], [Nethermine Flayer Hide] (all sellable on the AH if you can't turn them in for rep), sometimes the quest Murkblood Escape Plans, somtimes just junk, but apparently there's a very rare possibility of getting a Netherwing Egg out of the deal as well.
Netherwing Eggs - Not A Daily Quest
Netherwing Eggs are the only thing that can be turned in repeatedly throughout the day, without having any type of Daily restriction for the rep gains. Of course, they're also difficult to find, are Bind on Pickup and are rare spawns, plus there's a lot of competition looking around for those eggs as well, so they're not simple to "farm", either.
Black Blood Flees, Seeks To Join Up With Others
Besides the slighly lottery-esque feeling of the Sludge-covered object and what's inside of it, another "different" thing about the Black Blood of Draenor is that once it gets down to a certain percentage of health, it begins to flee.
And it doesn't just randomly flee, either. It flees directly towards another Black Blood of Draenor, with a specific intent in mind - to join forces and become stronger and attempt to fight back!
If you are unable to kill the Black Blood before it reaches another Black Blood of Draenor, they merge together and become a Draenor Blood Terror, which is a bit more tough than the Black Blood, has a larger aggro range, and looks much scarier (check out that skull and vertebrae!). If you're far enough away from the merge, it won't aggro on you and thus you can control the start of the fight.
I like these neat little "different" things in the game!
