Soon, we’re going to need traffic lights and stop signs for our Bat and Wyvern carriers to obey! The air traffic is getting congested!

Tailing Someone On A Bat

I love it when, on occasion, the timing is “just right” and lets me follow someone very closely on their flight path as I fly to my own destination.

It’s like riding on a long highway with another car in front of you - you can tell where all the bumps and swerves are going to be by watching them be bumped and swerved around.

Sometimes I talk to the person in front of me, but most times I just watch.

Have you ever made a friend by flying behind them and then engaging them in conversation? We have a guildmate who joined after such a friendly in-air convo… :)

One of our casual guild guildmates used to raid for a while, until real life made it so he couldn’t commit the time anymore because he and his wife now had a new baby in the mix.

But, while he was raiding he got some nice experience in the Outland dungeons (non-heroic) and although he’s now a casual player by way of Real Life Force, he still pays strong attention to his gear and has been working towards the goal of being “uncrittable” in Heroic instances, which for warrior means getting to or above that magical defense rating of 490.

My tank guildmate is happy that I’ve gotten my Mage to 70 and that I’m interested in doing some 70s things with him, and I’m happy to have a tank who cares about his equipment and has done the required reading to know where he wants to go and what he needs to achieve to be successful in his tanking role.

One of the first things we helped him out with as a guild was finishing a quest in Netherstorm that gained him a piece that brought him to 494 defense - very nice!!

Gathering Up The H E R D

Dimensius the All Devouring in Manaforge Ultris

Through general conversation the night before, we secured a three-person team to take on this 5-person quest, and when it came time to get together for it, another guildmate with a 70 Druid offered to join us and provide more DPS to the process. So, we met in Netherstorm near The Stormspire in amongst some Consortium guys to begin our short quest.

After following them up a hill and engaging in some battle with some baddies in between, we stopped for a while outside of a building, with all the Zaxxis guys huddled in a mass, waiting for our tank to issue the order to continue after we mana’d up and bandaged as required.

Zaxxis guys Confused In Hallway

We then headed into the building, but the Zaxxis guys style of following was rather confusing - at first, going in, the Captain was at the back of the line, but then once we got inside the whole line switched around to have the Captain at the front of the line, in a domino-like fashion that made us players wonder whether we should be retreating or moving ahead.

Once we got inside and downed the little Voidwalkers that were in the way, we faced The Big Boss, Dimensius the All-Devouring himself.

Our tank started the battle and I caught a screenshot of the big mutha Voidwalker as he (she?) did her best impersonation of the Supremes…

We got this guy down with very little trouble, although our Druid DPS friend almost died and some quick healing kept him up and his repair bills down. Gogo Druids and Holy Priests!

So, since I’ve got a couple of high-level DPS toons and a 61 Warrior who I’m afraid to take out for PUG tanking practice, I fired up a new toon, again, with the goal of being a dungeon-running healer.

I already have a holy-spec’d Priest at level 38 who I’ve done some RFD PUGs with, but I wanted to try a different healer type, so I actually fired up a Druid and a Shaman, with the intent of taking them both down the Restoration track of talents.

So far, the Druid has been given more play time and I’ve advanced past the RFC PUGs and into the WC/SFK/BFD ones (that is, out of Ragefire Chasm and into Wailing Caverns, Shadowfang Keep and Blackfathom Deeps), and I’ve had a wide variety of PUGging experiences as a instancing healer who has advanced from level 13 clear through to level 23 with minimal outside-dungeon experience collection (only enough to gather quests for the next dungeon).

Recently, as I was going into a Wailing Caverns run with a Feral-spec’d Druid I had met in a previous PUG, I had a chance to play around with my kitty form as we ran to the instance and caught up with the rest of the PUG we were partied up with, who were already inside the instance.

I need a little bit of work on my kitty-form action, but since I plan to be a Resto druid I don’t see it happening very often.

Druid Kitty Dance Sucks.

After the run was over, I played around a little bit more with kitty form, and of course, tried to /dance to see what the dance was like.

I was sorely disappointed as my kitty sat down and proceeded to sway its head back and forth while swaying a paw back and forth as if to keep time as a conductor of an orchestra.

Am I wrong, or is this the WHOLE DANCE???! :(

Druid Kitty Can Disenchant, Summon.

There are many things that Druid Kitty cannot do because she is in a morphed state, but there are some things that Druid Kitty can do to make life simpler for its master:

Druid Kitty can Disenchant in form

Druid Kitty can Summon at stone

So, yah. I’m sure this isn’t news to most of y’all out there, but I really haven’t done much with a Druid for a long time :)
