Discovery! Flask of Relentless Assault

Yay!
My 69 Mage, in preparing for the final quest run push to 70, was bubbling up a number of [Adept's Elixir] for personal use when voila, I discovered a fifth Flask!
But I guess my question is, when is Flasking better than just Potting up? I mean, other than when you're wiping over and over - Flasking is better then, in terms of cost factor, but is that the only real consideration?

Pretty much. Flasks are made for things like raiding. Especially when you are learning a new boss, you will wipe over and over, so it's usually better to Flask than to use regular elixirs.
If you don't expect to die, and to get full use out of the elixir, then elixirs are the way to go.
Do you have your Elixir mastery??? How the heck did you get this to 'spawn'?
I've been trying to figure it out since I hit 375 in alchemy like ages ago! I've been making Elixirs/Potions up the wazoo, and nothing... the only thing I can think of is that I don't have my 'mastery' picked yet, which people tell me isn't the case. /sigh
Gratz on the Discovery!
Flasks are usually used in 2 situations:
1.) Chain-wiping on a new boss
2.) When the flask-bonuses are better for your class/role than elixir's that are available. For example, the Flask of Pure Death has a huge bonus to Shadow-damage, and it is preferable to the available elixirs for Shadow-priests and many Warlock specs. Most of the flasks have bonuses that you can't find on both a guardian and a battle elixir.
