Recipes From The Daily Cooking Quest
With Patch 2.3 came some new Daily quests for players in the Outland. Daily dungeon quests, daily Heroic dungeon quests, daily PvP quests, and even a daily Cooking quest!
Why Do Daily Quests?
The biggest reason for doing dailies of any sort is for the cash earned upon completion of the quest. Most Daily quests pay a minimum of 11g99s to complete them, and since they're repeatable on a daily basis, it's easy for a player to zoom through once they already know what the quest is about.
Some daily quests also award reputation towards specific groups in the Outland, and reputation rewards at the end of the "daily grind" is the ultimate goal with the cash as a secondary concern.
Daily Cooking Quest Requirements
In order to take part in the Daily Cooking quests, you need to be level 70. Level 69 isn't good enough, gotta be 70.
You've also got to have 275 cooking or higher.
From there, it's just a matter of getting the quest and completing the tasks, which are easy enough to be soloed by most players (straight healers and straight tanks may have difficulties, so team up with your guild healers and tanks to help them get this quick and easy cash too).
Rewards From Daily Cooking Quest
When you complete your daily cooking quest, you can choose a [Barrel of Fish] or a [Crate of Meat] as your reward.
Opening the Barrel or Crate will reveal some cooking materials, an occasional item of Vendor Trash, and rarely, a new cooking recipe that is Bind on Pickup to that toon.
Recipes I've seen have included:
- [Skullfish Soup]
- [Delicious Chocolate Cake]
- [Kibler's Bits]
- [Spicy Hot Talbuk]
- [Broiled Bloodfin]
- [Stormchops]
Where To Start The Daily Cooking Quest
Lower City is where the daily quests can be found. With the new minimap improvements from Patch 2.3 that added the blue question marks to the minimap, it should be even easier to find.
But, in case you depend on coordinates to get you everywhere, here's here: 62,16 - The Rokk, in Shattrath City, Lower City.
Can't Fish Zul'Aman By Yourself
And hey, if you're curious about getting those +spell hit fishies to cook them up, note that they are fished mainly in Zul'Aman, but other 10-man instances as well. I ventured over to Zul'Aman to see if I could get to a puddle by myself but it looks like I need to bring some friends next time...
