So if you do alot of transmutes you have a better chance of discovering the transmute recipes, Elixirs / Flasks, so forth and so on. Now that doesn't mean its impossible to discover a transmute while making a potion, just supposedly less likely. Again i cannot confirm that anywhere, however i have noticed that my potion master, discovered alot of potion recipes before discovering flasks. And my elixir master discovered most of the Flasks and such. I have 1 transmute discovery between the two of them. Transmutes, I got all of the ones I have from factions. Forget what they are, but I haven't found one that will 'bring home the bacon' so to speak. I believe I have water to air, or air to fire or something like that... so its pretty much a wash. I've been going on an Herbing streak in BE while questing, so I have a ton of Felweed and morning glory...
