Between January 2008 and March 2008 I’ve only gone up ~100 in +frost dmg, but I’ve moved to 164 spell hit rating which means I have a 99% chance of hitting a boss 3 levels above me (ie: raid boss).
These days, whenever I upgrade a piece of gear, I generally have to spend at least 100g on re-gemming my other pieces so I keep the Spell Hit rating at 164 (or slightly above).
I’ve gotten a few key enchants put on my gear since January - namely the Subtlety enchant on my cloak to reduce threat generated by my spells even further, Vitality on my boots, and +40 spell damage to my weapon. I have had to turn to the Trade channel to get these enchants done because guildmates online couldn’t do them.
