I agree with what you said about raiding, it sure is fun and has some nice rewards, but since i gave it up i have enjoyed playing when i want to and leaving my pc off when i want to. There is no pressure to get better gear, run heroics all night for badges etc, not i can level at a nice pace and have some fun. Although it is anoying when pugging with noobs who have no idea how to play the game ^^

Do you have your characters on different accounts? Or is it possible to get signatures for a guild charter even if they're on the same account?

Thats why I made my own guild for my alts, solitude. I am a tank of a guild, and alot of demands are made upon me to the point the game isn't that much fun anymore. So some 'off' raiding nights I just log in and work on my alts.

Congratulations on your decision. You captured the sentiment perfectly with "<i>Raiding is a fun part of the game, but I’m glad to be out of it and its expectation of loyalty and commitment"</i>. I've been raiding kara and za since about the same time you started raiding, and there really are times when those expectations become too much and I just want to get away.

When I first started reading your blog, I was still leveling and admired your sense of enjoying the end-game in a less traditional way than your standard blogging raider. It was interesting to read about your switch over to raiding, but I'm even more exited to hear about your return to a more relaxed and yet equally satisfying way to enjoy the game.
