What Dailies Do You Do?

Add Comment |

So, here I am, back in the Casual Gamer seat that I much prefer, after a brief foray into the experience of a mid-range raiding guild (2/4 in TK, 4/6 in SSC, 1/4 in MH - thanks for the correction on how many bosses are in each ;) ).

I had a lot of fun while raiding and gained a huge amount of confidence regarding Heroics, PUGs and holding my own in 5, 10 and 25-person raids (Troll Frost Mages R Teh Roxxorz ;) ), but the whole “raiding guild” experience took up a lot of my play time.

When I wasn’t raiding, I was gathering consumables - herbs for elixirs and oils, fish for buff foods, primals for enchants on new badge gear upgrades… and as a regular user of consumables throughout most of my grouped play time, I was on the “A” Team of DPS/CC that would be called upon when Heroics teams were being formed to farm 4-9 instances in an afternoon.

Some of my guildmates did Dailies on a regular basis, but I simply didn’t have time for it. If I was able to complete the daily Cooking and Fishing quests on both of my level 70 characters I’d be ecstatic, but it mainly turned out that I got one or two dailies done on one toon, that’s it.

But now! Now I have time to ponder the wonders that are Daily Quests!

Now I’m not collecting collecting collecting for my own raiding needs. And yes, I bought some of my materials too, because I wanted to PLAY not FARM… but it all took a lot of time.

So, I’m wondering what Daily Quests YOU do on your level 70s?

Are there ones that are short and simple like the Cooking daily gets to be once you have a stock of cooking materials that will be called upon for use?

Are there ones that give me new recipes like the Cooking and Fishing dailies do?

What are the ones that have a chance of giving me a Heroics Badge? :)

So much to get caught up on :)

I really like the “Gaining the Advantage” quest that you get by the flight point in Shatt. I’m a skinner so I farm Nether residue from the Lesser Nether Drakes by Tosley’s Station in Blade’s Edge. Skin while I collect for quest and make about 175g/hour in Nether Dragonscales.

Dailies are really good for making a good amount of gold in a short time. Spend a couple of hours up at the Sunwell and you can easily grab 100+ gold… very useful to cover repair bills from raiding and for saving for your epic flying mount.

(4/6 in TK, 4/5 in SSC)

TK’s The Eye only has 4 bosses and SSC has 6.
Sorry, that just jumped out at me ;)

And darn you for always making me miss my “lol@forst” mage >.<

Aw heck, both of my 70s already have epic flying, so really I’m looking for Dailies that are quick or have the best rewards (heroics badges etc) so I don’t have to figure all that out myself ;) Without the burning NEED to get cash for an epic flyer or something, I can’t motivate myself to explore all the dailies and am hoping for guidance from those more experienced in this area than I :)

Ah, thank you for the correction on the boss stats. I’ve fixed it so I don’t look TOO much like a noob.

If you want badges then dailies aren’t the thing to get them. Once in a while you will get one in the Shattered Sun Supplies reward, but that’s only happened to me a couple of times. There is the heroic dungeon daily you can pick up in Lower City, which will give you 24G and (I think) 2 additional badges.

The other reason I do the Sunwell dailies is to get rep for the rep rewards, which aren’t awful.

There is an easy way to do the dalies that can gives badges. Start in shatt
- Take all the dailys in shatt (inc cooking).
- Go to the Island of Quel’danas take the discover your roots quest.
- HS back to shatt.
- Fly to the fishing daily guy and continue up towards Hellfire Peninsula
- Do the discover your roots quest. (tip: the Razorthorn Flayer Gland can be stocked)
- Fly across Hellfire Penisula to do Blast the Gateway and possibly Blood for Blood.
- Fly to Netherstorm and do Sunfury Attack Plans
- Fly to Blade edge mountains and do Maintaining the Sunwell Portal.

This circle can be done in the reverse order minus the 3 first points ofc. =)
