I continually bring up on guild forums/gchat that we should try to hit some oldworld stuff just for giggles. I mean, unlike most of my guildies.. I'm strapped for gold (so repairs and small gold return means I will take a loss on this), I don't have the uber-est gear either. But I'd drop my insane level-mania to see some cool stuff. Kill Baron Rivendale? I'm down for it. ZG run just for giggles? Hell yeah. What about AQ? 20 or 40 don't matter, I'm so friggin down for it. They're some tough cookies, but I think now they are pushing to have infinite heroic badges by the launch of the expansion. I have no real want to do this, but it doesn't matter since I'm still in "MUST... LEVEL.... ALTS" mode. To me the outlands instances are something that would be "neat" but nothing I am totally stoked about getting into. Would I LIKE to fight archimonde? yes. Is it plausable that I'll get in on that? no. Even if invited, I am undergeared and plain unexperienced at this point, even though they do raid hyjal pretty frequently. I have no drive to improve Mcgoo like I did in his 50-70 mad-dash. With the expansion breathing down my neck, I have him in a place where he can level easily without problem in the new zones. I am way better geared than a non raiding lock, and even better than some that do raid. So I'm in a decent posture to push into 71 and beyond. Knowing that my super-yummy-upgrade epics are probably crap at lvl 72 drains the drive right out of raiding for me. Of course, to be honest.. gear was never the reason I raided. I liked seeing cool stuff. And I've seen most of what I want to see. My end game lists are short now: 1. Archimonde (I wish to watch him DIE!!! ) 2. Kael (He's a punk, and I'd like to snicker at his corpse) 3. (dont' laugh) Onyxia.. (hey I'm a gnome, she's a big dragon.. I want to kill her. Thats all you need to know) Since my guild hasn't (to my knowledge gotten to Archi yet, and I know we haven't gotten to Kael.. The only reachable of the 3 is ony.. and nobody goes there anymore. Sigh.. I may try to solo as a lvl 80 then.. maybe bring a druid..:) Wow what a cool raid that could have been.

Once you have the shortcut, though, you won't regret it.
