Doom Lord Kazzak Shouts, Hellfire Peninsula
I don't know if it's the same on your realm, but on our realm, there are always bored folks hanging around the Throne of Kil'jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula, taunting Doom Lord Kazzak from where he stands up there.
He shouts about how "All Mortals Will Perish", and how "The Legion will conquer all!". One of my favorites is "Contemptible wretch!", but you know he's not only been aggro'd and taunted, but actually killed a player when he says "The universe will be remade."
But the other day while I was running a Heroic Ramparts on my Healer when things went awry and we wiped. On our run back from the graveyard (oh how I love it that in Heroic PUGs, 90% of the time nobody has to be reminded that if the rezzer runs, everyone runs - everyone just releases and runs back), Doom Lord Kazzak shouted something I had never heard before, nor had my teammates:
I looked it up this morning on WoWWiki, and found that this is Doom Lord Kazzak's spawning shout.
Looks like he took a dirt nap and woke up a little reminiscent of the past ;)

I'm sorry Val but I got to ask.. WHY do people run if the healer dies?
I rarely, if ever run on raids (been forever since a normal instance wiped).. and don't do heroics, so maybe I am missing something.
Is there a difference if the Rez'er has a SS or can self rez? I am confused please clarify this. It is probably the case that I haven't died before and not had a healer to self rez and then rez me. Typically the "zomg wipe" button is when the tank dies, at least when I am playing. So we see the tank buy the farm and we (collectively or I go alone) runback (for rez being away from pat's etc..) or run out of instance.
So it could be that I've just not encountered that, or since I was the lock I SS'd the healer so he/she COULD rez me. Dunno.. but I have seen 3 such posts on blogs I read and now I'm just wondering if my world is just charmed.. or what.
Well when I die in some big instances on my healer, I have a hard time getting back to the bodies without an armed escort, because of the patrols and respawns ... Nevermind claiming my corpse and healing/buffing up in order to res the others if there are still mobs around.
Plus I am well known for getting lost on my way back:)
Mcgoo, two possibilities.
1) Your Priest/Rezzer had a SS but used it already, therefore there is no-one left to rez you.
2) You died too close to the mobs, so you can't use a SS or a DI.
Oh and another one. In some instances, like The Eye, it is probably quicker for the whole raid to simply rezz at the graveyard, than wait for all the healers to be rezzed inside the instance.
Besides, Soulstones are more useful in hard fights if they are used to rez healers during combat, rather than as a quicker means to get re-started after a wipe.
Re: Kazzak. All I can say is /ignore Kazzak (wish I could).
Same things applies to Doomwalker, who is always triggered by people going into BT.
I might be wrong, but that yell is probably the one he used before BC came out, when he appeared outside the Portal on Azeroth.
It makes more sense that way.
Heya McGoo :)
The answer to your question depends on what exactly you're asking :)
If you're asking why some people book it out when the healer dies instead of trying to finish off the remaining mobs, I would have to say it's a Solo Habit running over into Group situations. In Solo, we learn run as soon as we're overwhelmed. It's just one of the Solo habits one needs to break when getting into a dungeon instance.
Of course, some people run because they don't want a) the repair bill (which is measly, it's easy to earn gold in this game, easier than ever) or b) to have to run back as a ghost.
If you're asking why everyone runs back when the rezzer runs (and I really hope you're not :) ), then it's sheer politeness. Just because I can rez you when I get back to the instance doesn't mean I don't also have better things to do than be the only one inconvenienced to run back.
The one exception, of course, is if I do something completely dumb to wipe us - at that point I tell everyone to stay put, I'll run back and rez, because it's our fault we're dead.
You should really get yourself into Heroics - it's amazing how much better behaved overall I find the players to be as compared to those who are afraid to Heroic and thus stay in the 70 regulars to get their rep and finish their quests.
Of course, if you only run with friends and never PUG it then it doesn't matter what you run. I just find there's more uncontrolled braggarts in regular 68+ instances.
Ahh Vlad, in 5-man, I don't agree the SS/ahnk is best used in a hard fight. Sometimes, yes, and that's sometimes difficult to judge. But mostly, it's so we don't have to run back to the instance and run back to where we wiped, because that's quite time-consuming.
25-man has a whole different set of rules because there's a lot more people to handle different roles.
I agree fully with running back in the case of most raids - Karazhan, TK, and to a lesser extent, Gruul's or Mags at times that you've died so early in the trash fights that you'll be watching fighting for the whole time you could have been running anyway.
