Sept 2008 Raider's Resume: Mage (frost), Priest (holy)
Oct 7 Edit: Note that this resume is as of September 21, 2008 and with this pre-expansion PUG-raiding-extravaganza environment, my raid healing experience, in particular, is growing in leaps and bounds. Please check the Toon Resume section, which is updated nearly daily.
All of the things like reputation can change so quickly when one hooks up with a few good players and rushes through things everyone needs, so I put a date on the post, because I forgot to put a date on the Resume itself.
I'll put a date on the updated version I do, whenever that may be.
Check it out, here's my first attempt at a video resume for my Mage and Priest who are both geared for raiding T5+ content, and looking for an excellent home on the realm of Zul'jin, Horde side.
Any suggestions on what I should change/improve for my next version?

gabeezers! that's a great video, and I'm amazed at the concept of a toon-resume. super neat to see this and think about "looking for work" w/ a video like this. neat!
I just stumbled upon this site by chance, thought I'd leave a few comments. Since you have an entire site dedicated to your WoWings I figure you wouldn't mind a bit of friendly criticism =P
First off, try turning on combat text. Just cause you can spam a frostbolt doesn't tell us if your DPS is any good. If you're one of the top be sure to post the meters otherwise you're just another mage. This is especially important since raiding frost in general is thought to be a lesser spec than fire. Prove them wrong by posting legitimate meters (no aoe bs).
Second your priest app isn't very impressive. I'm assuming it's not your main so why include it? I don't think a serious raiding guild cares much about an under-geared healing alt unless it has the potential to become your main (which may be the case).
Also, the Mt. Hyjal part might want to be discarded. That phase is a huge aoe fest and as a mage (especially frost) that should be your time to shine. Sheeping and casting a stray frostbolt or two shows more that you aren't very good at multitasking (even though I'm sure that's what you were told to do by your raid leader).
Just as a tip, I noticed when you frost nova'd you immediately stepped backwards to start blizzarding. Try cone of cold as you walk backwards. You'll crit a ton of mobs and boost your dps while still being able to get far enough away to blizzard. If you've got a good pally tank you should be ok on agro :)
Other than that I thought this was a clever way of apping to a guild. Kudos on the ingenuity. Also I thought the song was a nice pick for a troll =P
Keep up the good work!
PS: I love the name Shrimproll =P
Hey there! Thanks for the thoughts, tips and advice!
Just to note, I do have combat text on, but in my videos I choose to turn off the UI stuff because it clutters the screen. If I could figure out how to put only my numbers up and not the whole bunch of crap on my screen, I'd do it. Maybe someone out there knows and can help me tweak some config file :) Or maybe I could turn the interface on for 10 seconds during the fight, for a sampling of my numbers.
I do have a couple of videos that have the damage meters at the end (Gruul and HKM I believe), but I don't always remember to take screenshots of it. I'll definitely put more efforts into that as I agree in straight fight situations it's good to have the numbers.
Re: AOE in Hyjal - I think I recorded my second time in there :) Plus, I'm not going to be the dumb mage who AOE's before the Pally tank has established proper aggro on the bunch :)
And I agree, my Priest Resume isn't all that impressive - yet. But hey, she hit 70 in July and is already geared for BT and Hyjal (minus the shadow resist set which will be done soon). Give her a few weeks, with this pre-expansion PUG raid environment I'll have lots of raid heal experience and social proof in no time.
And hmm, I'll try the Cone of Cold thing but what I've found is that it very often negates what I'm trying to do with the Frost Nova - that is, keep mobs frozen so I can get further away to Blizzard. If they get away and come after me it's no good :) Maybe it depends on the tank type, too.
Thanks for your comments!
I hope I made you slightly hungry with the name, as that is part of my goal in life.
Hi,
Firstly just wanted to say this is a superb site, well done.
On the combat text issue you can either configure the built in CT by hitting
ESC --> Interface --> Combat Text. Here you can turn on off various events. Better still, get an addon called Parrot that offers great configuration options.
Keep up the good work.

Hey there, Daxaar! Thanks for the compliments! Great to have you here.
My trouble with showing the combat text is that in order to show the combat text I have to show the entire interface, which is very cluttery.
On a Mac, I can turn off the interface when I record. If there were a way I could have the interface clutter off, but ONLY show the Combat Text, I'd be all over it.
Any ideas there? :) :)
