Sharing The Honored Moment

WoWGrrl's own Warcraft Gold guide: Get Rich & Stay Rich right from level one!
Wealth on Warcraft

Friendship is one of the things on this game that keeps us coming back, day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year.

In a game, there are many special moments you can share with your friends, but one of the most special ones I’ve shared with my friends is the experience of them walking through the Dark Portal into Outland for the very first time.

Entering the Dark Portal into Outland for the first time

A friend walks through the Dark Portal into Outland for the first time

I had the opportunity to share this moment with someone I met through the making of my videos, and I got a snapshot of the moment, too. I forgot I had that snapshot until recently when I went through my Screenshots directory and found it.

Since I took this screenshot, I’ve had the opportunity to help a few friends through the last few quests to get them to “ding” 70, and have been there when some of my friends bought their very first flying mount.

It’s neat to share these types of experiences, and I’d love to hear about your experiences with it!

I never got my special moment, my boyfriend (who was 70 at the time) took me to Shattrah the long way at level 50-something and I made my home there.

What I feel is even more important is the 70 ding. I was in Shadowmoon LFG-ing for some quests and I ended up with a nice guy, so after I finished my quests and learned that he only had a little bit to go to 70, I stuck around and helped him get there. I took a screenshot, but by the time I remembered it I’d forgotten his e-mail address…

(I do have my main’s 70 ding screenshot, courtesy of my bf, yay!)

A great moment was when my friend finally got his mount. He was level 43 (at the time you had to be level 40 before that happened.) He was WOW poor, I think part of that was due to the language barrier (he’s Brasilian.)

I knew he didn’t have the money to buy this mount, but I went along anyway (told him it was a lot lower.) We went to check out the dwarf racial mounts and he told me how much it was. He could not afford the mount (I knew this.) I gave him the money he needed. A very nice guy, always going out of his way to help others. It was the least I could do. Since that time he has made money within WOW and now has his epic mount.

Crossing over in the dark portal for the first time was a great moment. My buddy Uth was there to share in the experience. With my Ally toons I soloed a lot so most of the great moments I had for my characters I was by myself, they still were great moments even though at times I wished my WOW buddies were around to share my excitement. ;-)
