Where To Get The Achievement: Going Down?
I have no fear of falling - it's the sudden stop at the end that worries me.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to make this statement, so if you'd like, you can associate the above quote to "Unknown", or "Anonymous". Whatever happens, it's the truth, no matter who first assembled the words in that particular order.
Falling In Game? Commonplace
One thing that is markedly different in how I operate In Real Life and how I operate In-Game comes in the form of how I travel from place to place.
In Real Life, I'm no longer light and nimble like the 10 year old who loved to climb stacks of 2-by-4s and 2-by-6s in the lumber yard while waiting for Dad to finish pushing the loads in and out of the dry kiln on the weekend.
I can no longer jump off of a house roof without fear of injury upon landing (although that landing with my knees against my cheekbones when I was 12 and not supposed to be up on the roof is still a jarring memory). And I'm not really sure that I'm all that interested in jumping off of the high dive at the Olympic-class pools I go to on occasion anymore, either. (Doing it in Grade 6/age 10 earned me huge respect of a few bullies for years, it was worth it back then)
But in game, I'm constantly jumping or running off of cliffs and roads and buildings and whatever else is in front of me. For the most part, I don't die.
Sometimes, I even get an Achievement for my boldness!
About The "Going Down?" Achivement
The "Going Down?" Achievement requires a player to fall 65 yards without dying.
If you're a Mage or a Priest you might immediately think about Slow Fall or Levitate as your "secret weapon" to getting the achievement without the worry of death, but unfortunately - that doesn't work.
If you're a Paladin, however, you'll find that your Pally Bubble DOES indeed work with this achievement. I found it out by mistake when I jumped off at Thunder Bluff heading towards the Darkmoon Faire grounds in Mulgore - I bubbled right before I landed and got the achievement. I'm pretty sure I would have died had I not bubbled in time.
Where To Safely Do The "Going Down?" Achievement
I asked on Twitter a while ago where people preferred to go for this Achievement, because I myself had only discovered the achievement and how to complete it by complete accident.I personally was on the Isle of Quel'Danas at the very top of the building that the Innkeeper resides in, and i jumped off of the roof to get to the ground (and flight path) quickly. I'd now recommend people run off the edge while mounted instead of just on foot, because the extra speed will help put you past the spiral ramp that brings you to the top of the building originally.
Others have recommended the Scryer's Tier in Shattrath City - but I'm not sure if they meant at the elevator or not, as I haven't tested that spot myself (can anyone confirm?)
I'd imagine there are some great places for this achievement in the battlegrounds - with my love for Levitating or Slow Falling from the Lumber Mill to the Blacksmith and from the BS road to the Mines I'm sure there's got to be a spot or two I don't know about.
Where's Your Favorite Spot For Jumping But Not Dying?
The key to this achievement is to jump a long way down, but not die.
But nearly die (unless pally bubbled). Just not die.
Where's your favorite place to take a big long jump yet survive at the end?

Yes, Scryer Tier is a valid solution.
Don't jump from elevator as you could end on the elevator or on the walking passage that is higher....
Just jump on the side, preferibly running (may be on horse) so that you don't fall directly down on some slopes of the wall.
i accidentally got this achievement the other day by falling out of the tunnel the bats fly through to get in/out of undercity. i was a level 20s mage too and managed to not die which surprised me.

As for the Scryer's Tier, I always do it there.
You go to the elevator platform on the Tier (not the elevator itself) and jump down to the city floor (missing the little bridge below).
Easiest way to do it is to jump down the side - if you run and jump just from the edge, you will fall far enough and land just on the city floor.

Walked in Isle of Conquest the day it was introduced.
Someone had left a catapult by the Horde keep.
Hoped on, launched my self... Got the achievement :P

I've always used the Undercity sewer tunnel and aimed directly for the river of slime below. I did find out once though while quest in Ghostlands that falling from the tower in Windrunner Spirit and landing in the water (not shallow water against the shore, OUCH) will also get you the achievement. I'm sure if you're a Paladin and can bubble any high place that the Tauren like to be will get you the achievement, LOL (Thousand Needles anyone?)
Just shows even more how Pallies are spoiled rotten.. thanks for letting me know levitate and slow fall won't work in getting the achievement.
I have a priest that I can use Lev at the last sec and a Paladin that has bubble.. so I got them pretty easily. For characters that have trouble I have had a paladin friend bubble me from the Aldor side in Shatt. Yeah I know cheating ;)

I always do mine on the zepplin for Org to UC. Just before you port at UC. You jump down from the front of the Zepp to land just after the 2 trees. Have done all my Chars going down there.
For those alliance, u can try it also on Stormwind.
When going from the channels to the harbor i just jumped on the ledge, with my druid and shape shift in mid air for less damage from falling, upon hinting the ground i got the achievement.
Wasn't even trying it, was rushing to the boat lol
Mages can Ice Block to get this achievement very easily. Mount up, fly straight up, Ice Block all the way to the ground. Win.

My favorite spot to get this achieve is at Dun Niffelem. I was on my fast flyer, landed to speak with the FP. I didn't take a flight, turned around, and ran straight off the edge (torward the Quartermaster) of the cliff. Needless to say, the bird was gone, but I did get the achievement nice and easy.
the place that i got it was in tressidil place, night elf starting place :P i went to the top and jumped as a druid in cat form, helps when u have the feline grace passive buff cause it reduces damage taken, so thats how i got mine lol
