The last while, I’ve been focussing on getting my Warrior to 60 since she’s been hanging around in her 50s for quite a while. I’ve got buddies who don’t even play very often who have already reached 70 on their toons that were equal level at about 52.

Ah, the slow advancment of any one alt-o-holic’s toons.

And I’m sure I add to my own suffering just a little bit because I’ve stayed in Azeroth despite being able to go through the Outlands portal (and having my hearth set to Shattrath since level 50 for training)… but, well, I find green quests go more quickly and are mentally more rewarding ;) Plus, I’m still farming materials for crafting some nice equipment for my lowbies, and mining Thorium, etc.

Plaguelands: Alone/With A Friend

I hung around in Western and Eastern Plaguelands the most, since I hadn’t done any quests there yet and thus had a lot to do. I got a lot of Runecloth for First Aid, Tailoring and Leatherworking, and got to Friendly with Argent Dawn.

At about a half a level into 59 I ran out of green-leveled quests, and was dying repeatedly to casters who overwhelmed me in yellow quests when a level 55 guildmate/regular partymate logged in. I was glad to see him, so I offered to help him through the Cauldron quests in Western Plaguelands and to help him get his Eastern Plaguelands flight point since this was his first toon and he hadn’t gotten there yet. This party got me to 2.5 bubbles from 60.

So, I headed over to Felwood and beat on Toxic Horrors to collect Globe of Water for crafting some Frost-enhancing clothing for my 45 Mage, and Enchanted Water and … something else… for general crafting/sales. Then, when I levelled, I hearthed back to Shattrath and ported to Undercity and hit the Riding Instructor in Brill before I even trained my new warrior skills…

Purple Skeletal Warhorse, level 60 epic ground mount

Oooohhh, pretty horns.

Flaming hooves, kinda like the Warlock Felsteed.

Fast, smooth ride. I highly recommend this mount ;)

But of course, the riding training skill cost 540g to learn, and the mount costed 90g on top of that, so make sure you plan and earn money ahead of time if you want to have it right away!
