My Dream Guild
I am looking for a raiding guild.
I am not willing to just join "any" raiding guild. I'm looking for a specific type of guild.
I want to join a guild that is established. I believe there are enough out there that the raiding population doesn't need to be split by Yet Another Raiding Guild.
In my Dream Guild scenario, this established guild has some of the following traits:
- Progression includes all raiding instances
- Established for at least 10 months, preferably 1yr+
- Membership is under 75 accounts
- Guild membership list has minimal changes from month to month
- Recruitment is largely done outside of the guild tagging system
When it comes to the Leadership of this Dream Guild, I see some dominant traits, as well:
- Driven to improve, but Don't Be A Jerk
- Expects membership to Not Be A Jerk
- Available for conversation outside raids
- Delegates authority well, Officer team is varied and disagrees at times but is solid
- Operates for the good of the guild, good of the raid (vs the individual)
- Modest, funny, encouraging, friendly, patient
And the Membership?
- Respectful, friendly, encouraging, patient
- Competitive enough to continuously improve, but Don't Be A Jerk
- Independent but a great team player in parties
- Supportive of bringing in undergeared friends on occasion :)
- A good reflection on the guild while in PUGs
- Solid players of my class who are better than me, so I have people I can turn to and people I can look towards for my own striving for improvement
That's a good start for now.
Would I Be Willing To Transfer Servers?
Yes, but since I would be taking a leap of faith since you'd be doing most of the in-game recruitment steps while I wasn't guild-tagged, I'd want you to match my Dream Guild pretty closely.
Please feel free to mail me in-game or email valdesta at wowgrrl.com if you'd like to talk further about recruitment trials.
